To Whom It May Concern,

I would like to report the discovery of a new type of ant. Members of this colony of ants were spotted crawling around water sources. These ants also seem to have telepathy - even though their fellow ants were removed from the scene of discovery, the appearance of a new water source in the same area will see the emergence of their compatriots.

Not only that, these ants are also playful ants. They can swim, and they can scuba dive. Of course, they do not have oxygen tanks (their tiny bodies would not be able to take the large tanks). What these ants do is to scuba dive and compete to see how long they can hold their breath. They cling on to the sides of the water source and start the countdown.

With these findings, I hope that this new discovery can be recorded and a proper name accorded to these creatures. Please consider my humble suggestions.

Scientific name: kamikaze formidae
Common name: Sui Side Ants
Description: Small,3mm,come in varying shades of brown
Distinctive characteristics: Swarm around water sources. Able to swim and hold their breath

I'm really tired. Well, we had a fantastic retreat just last week, and we're all bushed! I'm so bushed that I had to take half a day of leave just to sleep in... Yup, THAT tired. Seems like I'm not the only one having trouble getting up! Evelyn was just saying that every morning for this last week, Eddy has been waking up saying he's very tired and not wanting to get up... So Evelyn and I agreed that we all need a retreat to recover from our retreat!

Just another bit of rambling in my super tired zombified state.

I did something different today... I spent time with myself. Just myself. Ok, so there were tons of other people around, but I was still pretty much on my own. And to my horror, it was enjoyable! I'm going to schedule in more of these personal "chill-out" times... They're very refreshing!

And in my journey today, I wandered into a ramen shop. This shop is called "Ramen Ramen" (if I remember correctly...)and was featured heavily on Golf 90.5FM. The advert started with this Japanese lady asking for directions to Dhoby Gaut station, then she starts describing the sublime taste of a sublime food she's looking for - ramen. Of course, the guy who she's asking directions from was flabbergasted: "You mean you came all the way to Singapore just for RAMEN?!?!" To which she replied "they ran out of ramen in Tokyo, so here I am!"

That advert first brought about a snort of unbelief from me. But as the days went by, and as I was always putting on my makeup to that advert (talk about precision of the body clock)I started to chuckle, and then I got intrigued.

And so I wandered into the shop. It's got a few types of environment. Outside, you can eat in the 'pavilions', or do some al fresco dining with the normal tables and chairs. On the inside, it's more edgy plastic, not unlike some of the hanging plastic mobiles that can be seen all over Hong Kong's Ladies Market.

For food, I tried something different, but recommended - cheese ramen. Oooo it was good. I never thought it'd gel, but it did and the taste was luscious. The melting cheese added to the milkiness of the soup, and added such flavour that it was just so YUM.

Well, pardon me for my rambling, but it was so enjoyable I just had to tell someone. And you betcha I want to go back for more ramen!
