I love Snapple bottle caps. They come with these "Real Fact" things that may sound off, but are 100% certified true!
Love the quirkiness of these facts... My plan is to collect the bottle caps, and stick them along some cupboard or wall or something. They make a great and simple decoration, not to mention a talking point!
So... if you drink any Snapples, please please keep the bottle caps for me alright? It'll be nice if you could wash it before passing to me... Ants love me... Thanks!

"Haze-be-gone!"
Haze was gone, at least for the earlier part of today. Which was good. Really good. And what was more fantastic was that it didn't rain at Sentosa the whole time we were there! Wow... really thank God for such great weather!
Had lots of fun there... have not felt the sun, sand and seabreeze for a long long long time... and it felt good. Just to feel the soft sand (though it's not local sand) trickling through my toes... and to feel the sea breeze. It was good. Refreshing.
And not to mention beach volleyball! We played something like 6 games in all, losing team has to do 10 push-ups. =) I've never played such a more enjoyable game of volleyball in my whole life! Usually there's so much competitive tension and rivalry going on, even though the games are just friendlies among friends! Ok, probably because most of us weren't that good at the game, so we all could enjoy it. Sometimes, I don't like playing with people who are too much better than me at a game, because they just get frustrated that I can't play well. And then I feel bad and just can't wait for the game to end.
But this was fantastic... the tone was set with friendly banter all throughout the 6 games. I loved it!
Now, I just can't wait for Mum to book the resort so we three girls can head down to Sentosa for 2-3 days of sun, sand and sea. Not to mention, lazing around. Now, if only I can finish my work in time to take that one elusive day of leave...

My room's a mess. There's so much junk and clutter I don't have space for my new junk and clutter! Ok, first let me clarify. By old junk and clutter, i mean things like old textbooks, assignments, exam papers. All the way from JC. Not kidding. They need to move to my balcony...
And the new junk and clutter? Well, I've just got myself a fantastic Thai bolster. It was my birthday present from my parents. And a big square clock from the bunch from church. And loads of scrapbooking stuff to store. And that strong of blue spheres from him. And that little ethnic looking lamp, also from him.
I seriously intend to move stuff around... i want to create my own little cozy corner that can really make my room a sanctuary from the outside world.
So anyway, this is the current layout of my room.

Looks squeezy right... So anyway, since there's no space to have my cozy corner right now... things will have to go!
And I'll need to turn interior decorator as a part-time career.
I intend to get all this done by the end of the year, so I can enjoy the corner by Christmas!
Will keep everyone posted on this. Perhaps the only person who reads this blog who can see the changes in realtime would be my sis... Heh... And eh, GET OFF MY THAI BOLSTER ALREADY! ;-p

Watch this show only if you can appreciate dark humour.
With a title like that, few would think that it's a difficult show to watch! After all, it has the word "sunshine" in it which brings to mind yellow warmth, joy and happiness. But no...
The show is really about the dysfunctional Hoover family. Hilarious members!
We have the father who is constantly spouting the 9 Steps to Success (developed by him), and relating it to every situation and just generally being all uptight.
Then we have the mother who is trying to keep things sane, but is slowly and surely going insane herself.
We also have the older son who has undertaken a no-speaking fast, and he's been at it for 9 months. He doesn't speak because of a certain philosopher.
His younger sister is the beauty-queen contestant who is just so cute and precocious but yet innocent enough to ask the necessary questions.
Grandpa is a super happening old man who reads magazines that make Playboy look like child's play, and who was kicked out of his retirement home because he smoked heroin in there and behaved like a 2 year old kid when the doctors and nurses tried to stop him.
And finally, we have the uncle who is the mother's brother. He's gay, and he tried to commit suicide recently because the guy he loved fell for another guy who has been recognized recently as a genius philosopher.
Intrigued? Watch it! They run into all sorts of scraps... but at the end of it all, the family discovers things about each other and themselves that they never knew... And ultimately, they tried to protect each other.
And that is what makes this show interesting: watching the journey. It's not strictly speaking a feel-good show that ends on a super high note. It ends on a bitter sweet note.
Just a sneak preview of the dark humour...
Dwayne: I wish I could just sleep until I was eighteen and skip all of this, high school, everything. Frank: [explains about how Proust believed your suffering makes you who you are] So if you go to sleep until you're 18...? Think of all the suffering you're gonna miss! High school's your prime suffering years! You don't get better suffering than that!

The Rainbow Connection
The Muppets, as sung by Kermit the frog
Why are there so many songs about rainbows?
And what's on the other side?
"Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide."
So we've been told and some choose to believe it.
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that, and someone believed it.
Look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us star gazing?
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
All of us under its spell.
We know that it's probably magic.
Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same.
I've heard it too many times to ignore it.
It's something that I'm supposed to be.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
