I'm so tired I don't wanna go to school anymore... Tired of politics too... All the stupid politics between friends. Man... i hate it. I wish i could just stop school, pack up my bags and go to sleep. I like some lessons but hate others... and now i know why i dun jump at the opportunity to take courses together with some ppl. They make you feel like scum.
Sports is glorified, oh so glorified. Can't make it for grp homework coz of training? Oh it's ok.
Can't make it for grp homework coz Dad's back for a short time only? You don't know how to manage your time.
Can't commit to doing the homework for this week because of compilation for a project? Why you so last minute.
I'm like... SHUT UP! Why don't you guys go try having one of ur loved ones go away for long periods of time, only to be back for one week stints? Won't you want to spend a lot of time with them? Unless you're completely devoid of all emotion, you'll want to. I want to spend time with my Dad. What's wrong with that. I need to spend time with my parents and my Dad. What the **** is wrong with that.
About the project... why don't you be the one who has to compile the project with a 24 hour deadline, and having most of that 24 hours filled up with class? Why don't you go try it. Stop barking at me for stuff that you don't understand or that you don't know about. Don't presume to know my intention, don't presume to know the situation coz... you don't. It's as simple as that. You're not me, don't presume you know me inside out.
You're not me, so quit bugging me about what's wrong with me, what's in my heart when there isn't anything bothering me. Even if you ask me a thousand or a million times, i won't tell you because there's nothing to say! All that I know is that you're some really bored and bo liao people who presume that because you're so smart, you know everything. I really feel like calling you all pieces of shyte... but I shall refrain from doing so... the number of words that could describe you and that are just popping into my head now are so... abundant.
All i have to say is... if ur reading this, don't jump to conclusions about me. And... if you push me any further with nonsensical and irrelevant remarks and comments, don't say i didn't warn you.

Your dominant hues are cyan and blue. You like people and enjoy making friends. You're conservative and like to make sure things make sense before you step into them, especially in relationships. You are curious but respected for your opinions by people who you sometimes wouldn't even suspect. Your saturation level is medium - You're not the most decisive go-getter, but you can get a job done when it's required of you. You probably don't think the world can change for you and don't want to spend too much effort trying to force it. Your outlook on life is brighter than most people's. You like the idea of influencing things for the better and find hope in situations where others might give up. You're not exactly a bouncy sunshine but things in your world generally look up. |

To go or not to...
"You've got new mail". Another one of those mails from OCS... now i was all ready to trash the mail, until i opened it. Somehow i've gotta open mail to delete it and my email account and internet connection is always so utterly slow i'll get to see the contents of it in the preview pane before i can delete the mail.
Anyway, i saw a familiar blue logo bearing the letters SPH. For the uninitiated, this is like THE newspaper company in Singapore... mainly because it's managed by people that the government can trust to operate 'independantly'. Well, English, Mandarin and Malay spreadsheet newspapers spew out by the dozens (even hundreds) everyday.
And well, I like to write. My dream job(s): event planner or journalist or magazine writer... yups. Well, this mail was about internships for editorial promotion & planning unit and Chinese Newspapers Division. Well, my mandarin sucks even though i took higher chinese so, the CND internship is out of the question. But woa, editorial promotion and planning... that sounds way cool! That's like one of my dream jobs.
But i'm hesitating. Hesitating because I know i'll be away for at least 1 week in June. And i want to go for that camp... it's been quite a while since i went for one. Massive, with everyone, and overseas (the clincher). I really wanna go, even though the date's not fixed, neither is the venue, nor the speaker, nor the topic. But still, I wanna go, because it's a good refreshing time of recharging myself... both bodily and spiritually.
So here the decision lies... to apply for the internship (and maybe get selected) or to go for the camp.
The clock's ticking... The deadline looms nearer...

School of Rock
Watched this show on Mon night and I must say, I was impressed by the musical talent of those kids in the band. All of them can really play their instruments well! The keyboard, drum, lead guitar, bass guitar... and the singers too. Wow, they really blew me away.
The end of the story (that the kids got to play) was pretty predictable, but the journey they and Jack Black went through to get on stage has its unusual twists and turns. Those twists and turns really embodied what Jack Black said about rock: that it's about anger and breaking rules.
Well, that's quite very true about rock... and didn't like the part when they prayed to the god of rock.
What I really like about the show is the music, the talent, and the way it mixes so well with each other to produce a beautiful (albeit a bit noisy) symphony!

Report of The Mouse's Response to 'Substances'...
1. Spinelli's Coffee. Induces gut-wrenching toilet trips within 30 mins of consumption. Up to 3 toilet trips required.
2. NJ's Kopi-bing. Results in lots of energy for 5 hours. Observing hyperactivity is not uncommon. 1 toilet trip required.
3. SMU's Kopi-bing and Teh-bing. Very refreshing. Results in siap-ness. Up to 2 toilet trips required.
4. Pokka's Carrot Juice. Extremely potent. Results in many gut-wrenching toilet trips within 5-10mins of consumption. Crazy!
5. Food dripping with oil. Uncomfortableness gives way to 1 toilet trip per plate of food.
6. Smoke. Induces coughing fits, especially when cigarette smoke is inhaled. May result in breathlessness.
7. Paint fumes. Will definitely result in breathlessness upon inhalation. Breathlessness lasts for days
8. Alcohol. Pure alcohol taken with nothing else will result in 'highness'. Food that contains alcohol is ok.
9. Silver. Irritates the skin, causes a big red patch to appear around the spot where the silver touched.
10. Chilli. Generally has little effect except for the event of asking for fresh lime juice. However too much causes 'highness'
Report generated by the Brain.
Recording by the Fingers.
Reason for report: the Mouse is going through a stage of extreme boredom and lacks the drive to do anything.

A New Year, A New Beginning
Just had my first week of sch. Well, am looking forward to finishing my projects and presentations coz 3 of them are due before half the term passes! Quite happy! That means... lesser crush during the last part of the term. But that also means gotta pia all the way!
It has certainly been an eye-opener... the freshies are scary. Attended 2 biz law classes. First one i went, they all seemed agressive yet sincere... but i didn't feel comfortable nor welcome. Couldn't get a proj group either... Well, the second one i went for, they were quite friendly, and willing to talk to ppl they didn't know. Very vocal too, but in a more friendly and siao way. Got proj grp too hee!
Well, some things about my lecturers...
1. Computing ppl are apparently VERY crappy. Lame jokes, but he looks so comical saying them we just have to laugh. Evidence: making us say "This course is going to be FUN!" before every lesson. But its quite a relaxing course... way to go!
2. Taking negotiation under the tutelage of 2 ladies from Singapore Mediation Centre too. They're quite open and friendly and all, and am looking forward to a good time! One of them dresses better than the other... haha and they both tend to speak with a slight slang. Dunno why... Very fluent in english though, and they're very experienced! Held workshops and sessions for companies and govt bodies too.
3. IE prof is very extremely soft-spoken. Let's hope the mikes start working soon... or else it'll almost be a silent movie for me. After all, one of my criteria for a class is that i must be able to hear the prof... except when there's no choice, like this time round. Only one class for IE b
4. Ethics and Social Responsibility. Now, this is gonna be fun. Gollywog (i dunno his name... been identifying him by this since CT) hogs the air-time... but that's coz the rest of us are more afraid to speak. But then again, he makes LOTS of sense. Well as for the prof, he's quite young and LOUD. On reservist though, so no class next week. Heh
5. Biz Law. Wahahaha... had a discussion on maize and cows. We all pretended to be from the maize and moo families, and the elders council in a backward village which survives on barter trade. Very comfortable class even though not everyone knows everyone else. Wonders! Will enjoy myself here. Been trying since the very first term of uni to get a biz law class. Now, 4 terms later, i get it. yay!
Oh yes... one thing in common with all my morning classes... Assignments are piling up!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, it's homework. Assignments are due much later. Right, back to work.

The cheek of that guy...
Can't believe it. The turn of the year and what? My friend gets punched in the stomach by her boyfriend. That big bulky rugby player wouldn't let her be where she's supposed to be, got angry and after some walking, turned around and punched her. Wham. Right in her stomach. It was an upward punch... and 30 minutes after that she still said it hurt. Well, she slapped him back hard, but that's not the crux.
Guys, your girlfriends are NOT punching bags. They were made in God's image too, as a help meet for you (not a help mate, a help meet). Ladies were made to complement you.
Now if you're angry, don't take it out on her. All it shows is that you're cowardly, abusive, and have brains that are better off cooked and made into soup since they're not used much inside your skull anyway. Punching your girl, or anyone for that matter, does not show how macho you are, or how strong you can be. It just reflects your stupidity.
So many ladies are abused every year, whether physically or emotionally. To these ladies, I beg you, get out of the relationship. He may use something (that's partially true) to keep a hold on you... but please, if you feel something's wrong or people'll been telling you something's wrong, go seek help!
A perfect relationship is one where the guy loves the gal as he loves himself, and is willing to die for her. And because he loves her so much, she is naturally willing to submit to him and let him take leadership. So it goes both ways. God instituted safeguards too. God didn't say the lady must obey the man no matter what. God said that they lady should submit herself to her husband, and that her husband should love his wife as he loves himself.
Well, enough of this ranting. There will be a concerted effort to make sure that guy who punched my friend is not going to have the priviledge to be her boyfriend, to protect her and to love her. Not one of us who were anxiously waiting for her to arrive have any doubt about wanting her out of the relationship...
Lord, help us all...

Remember Thy Creator by Preacher Robert Chew
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth... Eccl 12:1
To love, trust and obey God.
Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy Kingdom... Luke23:42
A cry for mercy and grace
Remember Lot's wife... Luke 17:32
A warning against false belief
And thou shalt remember all the way the LORD thy God led thee... Deuteronomy 8:2
A sense of gratitude to the LORD
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent... Revelations 2:5
Restoration of the first love
Remember no more... Hebrews 8:12
Assurance to every single believer of an everlasting covenant and of complete forgiveness.

Another Year is Dawning
Another year is dawning, Dear Father, let it be,
In working or in waiting, Another year with Thee;
Another year of progress, Another year of praise,
Another year of proving Thy presence all the days.
Another year of mercies, Of faithfulness and grace,
Another year of gladness, The glory of Thy face;
Another year of leaning Upon Thy loving breast,
Another year of trusting, Of quiet, happy rest.
Another year of service, Of witness for Thy love,
Another year of training For holier work above;
Another year of dawning, Dear Father, let it be,
On earth, or else in heaven, Another year for Thee.
